Campus Park helps students find parking near the James Madison University campus. If something is wrong, or you need to report a problem, this page tells you how to reach a person.
Email sammrackley@gmail.com. Reports of offensive usernames and other abuse are reviewed and acted on, normally within 24 hours.
You can also reach this address from inside the app: Settings → Contact & Report a Problem.
Names on the Parking Leaders board are chosen by other students. To report one:
Names are also filtered automatically when they are first claimed. A reported name is removed and permanently withheld, and the account keeps its points and history under a neutral replacement name.
Live space counts come straight from JMU's public parking feed. When that feed is slow or down, the app says so per deck rather than showing a stale number. Pull down to refresh; if it persists for more than a few minutes, it is usually the feed rather than the app.
Reports are only accepted from at or beside the lot you are reporting — roughly 90 metres from its edge. This is what keeps the shared data trustworthy. The report sheet tells you how far away it thinks you are. You also need Precise Location turned on for Campus Park in iOS Settings.
The feature needs "Always" location access and Precise Location. Check both in iOS Settings → Campus Park → Location. It only prompts after you have actually parked, not while driving past a lot, and it will not ask about the same lot twice in four hours.
Accounts are tied to the device, with no password or email attached, so reinstalling starts fresh. This is a deliberate trade for not collecting personal information, and it is described in the app before you claim a name.
Settings → ••• → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, points, streak, badges and activity history, and releases your username. Parking reports you already submitted stay in the shared lot data with nothing linking them back to you.
